    Some items are in stock so can be shipped within a few days but others are made to order, so shipping may take up to a month.
    All the items can be made in silver, gold, platinum and palladium and any of the items set with a gemstone can be custom made with any stone. Please get in touch to enquire about prices for variations that aren't listed.

    Wood

    Wood is quite a bit softer than metal, so in these rings it is both recessed to protect it and carefully laminated it to reinforce and waterproof it. Some of the wood in these rings was from people’s gardens to make them extra special. The wood has to have the right sort of hardness to work.

    Pendants

    These are some examples made using a range of techniques. Pendants can be highly sentimental, worn close to the heart, or worn for elegance or playfulness.  They can be highly ornate as they take much less damage than rings.

    Wrought

    Richard came across this technique originally as a way to not waste scrap silver, but it became a really popular style of hammered silver jewellery. He melts silver into rough grooves to make very crude bars that are then made into rings, bracelet and chains. Rings and bangles in this style are available on our Greenwich market stall on Sundays.

    Chunky

    These bold statement rings all really stand out. We are not going to pretend it isn’t a headache carving the negative space of bizarrely shaped great big stones and would really prefer it if no one ever asked us again to make a ring like the opal one! The amethyst ring was designed for a friend's mum, to house a stone that her father bought in Asia in the '70s. Next page

    Delicate

    We don’t think birthstones have much in the way of serious history to them, but they can still serve as lovely representations of people in your life. Setting in a ring the birthstones for each of your family members has come up quite a few times and is very sentimental. The pearl ring here in 9ct gold is a replica of a very treasured ring, commissioned by a man for his wife to replace a ring he had bought her when they were very young and had been recently lost in a move.

    Men’s

    The mens diamond ring here is made in palladium, set with two inherited diamonds that had a great deal of sentimental value. It was a challenge to find a ring that was chunky enough for the client but still comfortable, so we ended up rounding off the inside, and with a simple design to fit the diamonds. The opal ring here is set with a boulder opal; finding the right size and shape opal was tricky!

    Traditional

    Personalised, subtle rings don’t come much better than a signet ring commissioned especially for you. We can help design the crest with you or perhaps improve on an existing one. All crests have been made up by someone at some point in the past and Richard is happy to be that person. Old crests have often been repeatedly re-hashed so the animals can become deformed versions of poorly drawn ones so he goes back to a photograph of the animal and starts the design from scratch to get it as accurate and beautiful as possible. The rings can also be used for wax seals. Next page

    Contemporary

    The contemporary signet rings are all highly personal and often quite playful. The textured spartan ring has ‘Come and claim them’ in Ancient Greek mirror writing, which was apparently the Spartan king’s response to the Persian’s demand for their weapons as tribute. Next page
