Ready to Wear FAQ’s
All of our Ready to Wear items are sized at the point when you place your order. With this in mind, we aim to have your order dispatched within 10 working days (Monday-Friday). During busier periods there may be a slight delay to this estimate.
We offer free UK postage with Royal Mail Tracked 24. They aim to deliver the next working day, Monday – Friday, though sometimes it takes a day or two longer depending on how busy they are. You can upgrade to Special delivery for a small fee, but please note this doesn’t have any impact on how quickly your jewellery can be sized and packed. Processing time is still up to 10 working days, even for special delivery orders.
If you are choosing to have your items hand engraved or to have gemstones added to a piece that doesn’t already have a gemstone (such as adding gemstone eyes to a creature ring), then please be aware that processing time may be extended (subject to gemstone availability).
If you have a particular deadline, please contact us before ordering and we will do everything that we can to meet that deadline.
We do ship worldwide, fees are calculated at checkout.
All of our cast designs are hand sculpted in wax by Richard Chown. His wax sculptures are then molded and cast right here in London using the lost wax casting process. Richard and his team then hand finish all of the pieces including polishing, setting, sizing and hand engraving in our London workshop.
We also have a range of hand made pieces crafted directly in metal in our London workshop by Richard and his team.
Our Ready to Wear jewellery is made from 100% recycled sterling 925 silver (or any other recycled precious metals on request, IE: gold, platinum and palladium).
All items are hallmarked at either the London Goldsmith Assay Office or the Birmingham Assay Office.
Although strong, silver is not indestructible so please care for your beautiful new items so you can enjoy them for many years to come. Silver will scratch and dull over time, to bring back its sparkle we recommend buying a polishing cloth.
If your jewellery has oxidised (darkened/blackened) elements we would not recommend liquid silver cleaners as they can remove oxidisation. If your jewellery has become dirty, simply boil some water and use washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush to clean it.
There can be a chemical reaction to silver from sweat, plus other external chemicals in lotions, soaps and chlorine (eg cleaning products such as bleach). Please remove your items before exercising or swimming. Highly chlorinated pools will instantly change the silver to black, if you forget and need your items to be polished please contact us and we will advise you on the fee and lead time.
You should remove jewellery before engaging in any activities that could damage it, such as weight lifting, spring cleaning, DIY, heavy lifting etc. There are certain activities where it is dangerous to wear jewellery such as boxing or climbing.
Gift vouchers are available in our shop and are valid both online and at our stall in Greenwich Market.
We offer engraving on most of our products. Generally the engraving is placed on the inside of the ring band, or the back of a pendant. Our house style is an elegant script, but if you have something different in mind, just get in touch before ordering — we love working with individual ideas (some complex engravings may incur additional charges).
If you are choosing to have your items hand engraved please be aware that processing time may take slightly longer, we will let you know if this is the case, please advise us if you have a specific deadline. Personalised engraved rings are not eligible for a refund (unless faulty) but may be resized.
Our creature rings can be brought to life with the addition of gemstone eyes, there is an additional charge for this that is listed on each product page. All of our gemstones are set by hand here in our workshop so please be aware that processing time may take slightly longer. We will let you know if this is the case, and please advise us if you have a specific deadline.
If you need a ring to be resized, we offer this service free of charge the first time. (Please be advised that the customer is usually responsible for the cost of returning rings to us for resizing. Further resizings after the initial free of charge offer will be chargeable, and are calculated on a case by case basis). In some circumstances this can get expensive (for example, if you live abroad) in which case it may work out more cost effective for you to have the ring resized at a local jeweller.
If you have a change of heart with your online purchase, assuming there is no sign of wear, we will happily accept returns for a refund or an exchange within 60 days from receiving your items. You are responsible for shipping costs to return back to us including any customs duties your return incurs.
Please note earrings and personalised engraved items are non-refundable and can not be exchanged.

Bespoke pieces lead times vary quite a lot. As a guideline, you can expect it to take at least 3 months. That said we do work by prioritising deadlines, which means lead time can vary a lot depending on the job and how busy we are. We always make sure you have your item in time for your special day. If you have a deadline that is more imminent than 3 months from now, please get in touch to see if we can fit you in. Because we try to keep a flexible delivery schedule, we are often able to assist on short notice orders but it does depend on how full our books are at the time.
With bespoke pieces, we aim to design the perfect piece with you and perfect the design within a consultation using sketches that we work out together and agree on. With bespoke and sculpted and cast pieces you will be given the opportunity to agree the wax prior to casting so that alterations can be made at that stage, rather than in metal. Please come with an open mind regarding design so we can work out something wonderful.
As these pieces are bespoke, they’re not automatically eligible for refunds in the same way as off the shelf purchases. If the final piece deviates from the brief in anyway or has any faults we will do everything we can to rectify this as is our responsibility, free of charge. If you require changes to the finished piece in other ways we normally charge for that service. . If your ring needs resizing, that service is complementary. If more than one resizing is required, there will be a charge, please email us to discuss.
